UHC HISTORY

Welcome to Universal Harvester Co., Inc. Our Company was founded in the early 1940's and since that date has engaged itself exclusively in the manufacture and sale of pickup reels for combines and swathers. For more than fifty years we have been well known in the agricultural field as a specialist in Pickup Reels. The UHC early product brand names were Super-Standard and Profiteer reels that sold throughout the United States and Canada, as well as numerous foreign countries.

A major redesign occurred in 1976 when UHC introduced a reel with a patented flip-over action to reduce wrapping on the bats and a one piece aluminum bat replacing wood board sections. The new design "U-II 100 Series" was widely accepted and made its name in the market place. The U-II was improved upon in 1987 as the "U-II Series 200" that is currently the reel manufactured by UHC.
